UAC prompts, Ctrl+Alt+Del and admin tools
Administrator prompts, the sign-in screen and Ctrl+Alt+Del run on a separate secure desktop in Windows. Vexaro reaches it when it is installed on the remote computer for all users.
1. Answer a UAC prompt
- Start the program that needs administrator rights on the remote computer.
- The screen dims and the User Account Control prompt appears in your session window.
- Click Yes, or enter the administrator's password if Windows asks for it.
The portable build and an installation for one user cannot see the secure desktop. Install Vexaro for all users on that computer.
2. Send Ctrl+Alt+Del
- Open Keys on the toolbar of the session window and choose Ctrl + Alt + Del.
- Or press Ctrl+Alt+End on your keyboard: Vexaro sends Ctrl+Alt+Del to the remote computer.
3. Use the admin tools
- Press Tools on the toolbar. The panel shows the remote computer's system information, processes, services and startup programs.
- To close a program that stopped responding, find it under Processes and press End task.
- Under Services you can start, stop and restart a service. Vexaro warns you when other services depend on it.
